  1. What a beautiful quilt the Diamond one is! I am totally ignorant as to the how’s of quilting but I have great appreciation for the talent involved. I recently purchased his Millefiore fabric in red, orange, blue, and lavender/purple. Also his Paisley Junge in tangerine. Then I bought Kona solids in orange, blue and deep lavender. The paisley is for the back of my daughters quilt I am having made for her, as well as bringing a bit of it to the front to blend and ….what is not to love about the Millefiori prints?! Would you help me with the pattern instructions? I am on disability and the fabric alone cost the earth. My daughter is worth every cent though. She is 26 and I really want to make this quilt beautiful. I have fallen in love with your pattern because the diamonds are big enough for the fabric prints to make an impact. Her quilt will be like a bedspread for a full size bed. No ‘bedskirt’. 96″Wx108″L Thank you for any help you can give. Kim Quinn Ware, MA

    • Hi Kim

The pattern comes from Kaffe’s book “Simple Shapes and Spectacular Quilts”. I would strongly recommend using Fons & Porters 60 degree diamond ruler to make this quilt. It is the exact size of the diamonds and allows you to fussy cut the diamonds as well as helps with the trimming of the borders. The only other recommendation I have would be to spray starch the diamond fabrics before cutting to help stabilize the bias cuts.

      Hope this helps.

    • Hi Mary
The quilt is from Kaffe Fassett’s Simple Shapes Spectacular Quilts book

You will see the quilt on the cover in the top right hand corner.
      Happy Quilting, Beth
